Did he become colder after the meeting with his father?
no he was always like that, remember last season at the end of the episode where kiyotaka said that all people are tools to him.
People seem to forget that he is a sociopath Psychopath is the correct term apologies. A sociopath is more erratic while a psychopath is level headed . They are also very good at faking emotions
He never cared and will never care about his companions. Its his nature. Every single one of them is a tool for whatever is plan is. Don't be blinded by the stuff he does that seems like affection in this season and future seasons
Pretty solid episode, not much to say other than that cuz there's not a lot to talk about other than the fact that Papakoji finally showed up and Ayanokoji cut Kei off.
ik I said this every week but I hope the last 3 eps adapt vol 7 properly
Overall, a pretty great episode, introducing Ayanopapa. Ayanokouji, exposing Chabashira, and cutting off contacts with Kei. Still felt pretty rushed, but the episode was pretty enjoyable, looking forward to the next couple of episodes. Wished they'd spend more effort in trying to portray Ayanokouji experiencing freedom for the first time.
Loliyori is definitely cute
Lerche is doing great on vol 7. But I don't think ayano felt any kind of guilt or regret when he cut down kei in LN
I'm surprised that they are showing in the anime, the books that Horikita read. 2 of them I've read. "Farewell, My Lovely; Raymond Chandler" and "The Devils; Fiódor Dostoiévski". They are very good.
He's now the lone wolf hiding amongst the snowy mountains
he said fuck you to sae
I liked and hit the whole episode a bit, but in particular the final part gave me an indescribable curiosity, I can't wait for the eleventh episode to come out.
For sure there's a catch or something that's gonna make the MC's fire awake.
why is there a car stereo in the background? I thought they were in a city of students with no contact with the outside world (someone will say it's the staff and teachers car ahaha)
entrance exams are mere formalities, of course, any fool enters this school and there are people saying that they are just the prodigies in different areas LOL
the parents or legal holders of the children do not have the right to take the children out of the institution they are in because the school treats them as "independent" or in legal terms as fully capable of acts of civil life, that is, the school is above legislation of this fictitious country, having total control over the students only letting them leave at their option, it's as if the school became the guardians of children or teenagers, nice
unless all students are emancipated, which I doubt, therefore, they have no independence or full civilian capacity
sophism? mundane society? now the author wanted to play random words to play intellectual, cool
“duly chastised”
He does not show sociopathic behavior at all...
Being asocial does not make you a sociopath.
"The DSM-5 defines antisocial personality as someone having three or more of the following traits:
Regularly breaks or flouts the law
Constantly lies and deceives others
Is impulsive and doesn’t plan ahead
Can be prone to fighting and aggressiveness
Has little regard for the safety of others
Irresponsible, can’t meet financial obligations
Doesn’t feel remorse or guilt"
If this does not describe ayanokoji you are in denial lol
Edited:My comment cause it was wrong
I think what he meant to say is that despite being sociopath he doesn't really show it or make it obvious to others
That's what sociopath and psychopaths do. They dont show it so they can manipulate you. They can seem perfectly normal like ayanokoji at 1st glance
I meant what I wrote the way I wrote it : being asocial does not make you a sociopath.
Plus, he does not behave like a sociopath. If they were to say psychopath, I would be more open to the characterization, even if still wrong. I just see the word used carelessly.
He does not manipulate people for the sake of manipulating them (and most of the time, it's pretty much consensual or for their best interests). Everyone pretty much use manipulation or charisma here to obtain something. Saying he never cared is an exaggeration : he cares enough to get involved. Having ulterior motives is not pathologic itself. He is pretty much a beta guy who just happens to use a fragment of his intellect to help some random girl achieve her academic goals.
He is indifferent, uninterested, unbothered, uncaring... but he'll never harm or hurt someone for the simple sake of harming them. Failing to sincerely bond with others does not instantly make you a sociopath. That's not how sociopathy is diagnosed.
Such behavioral patterns could fall in a large variety of mental disorders if they were to push their misdiagnosis further.
He is not antisocial, he is asocial. And that's not how you diagnose someone with pathologic behaviors.
By this simplistic definition, you could qualify millions people of being sociopath. Furthermore, you don't even use the full and proper definition recommend by psychiatric guidelines.
The DSM-5 defines antisocial personality as someone having three or more of the following traits:

What i find interesting is that some definitions states that psychopath do not plan ahead but others say they do. Especially some historical psychopaths had the ability to remarkably plan ahead for their crimes. But they also said that its not always the case as its 3 or more of those traits
I think everything else fit's though i could be dead wrong of course
Add that you edited your post so it won't be confusing for others when they join in.
My only comment will be that future seasons will show if he actually is what you are trying to diagnose him with. i guess you can debate if he is or not but there isn't enough evidence yet to give a full diagnosis on him.
