If you look back at past threads, you'd see that i've been mostly defending this show despite the many issues it's had. But at this point even i'm finding it hard to keep defending it with the amount of issues that keep piling up with each episode.
Story wise it's still somewhat fine, though that too has issues which i'll discuss in a bit. But my main gripe about this episode was the terrible looking art in way too many shots. Outsourcing is fine if it's done occasionally, but if it comes to the point where practically every episode is being outsourced, then why even bother to do a second season and heck, even announce a third one. Even if it's cuz they're saving their resources for vol 7, I still find it stupid. Wish they would've given this show more time cuz i'm sure most of us would be willing to wait an year, or even 2 years if it means we get a solid adaptation.
Now onto the story. Up until ep 4, I was perfectly fine with how they were adapting the story but then ep 5 came along and kinda fucked it up, with ep 6 just barely redeeming the arc. This arc is also starting to feel slightly rushed, especially with the Ryuuen interrogation scene. They cut down a lot of that scene, making it feel slightly dumb in the process. I personally think that was one of the main parts that showed how much of a formidable opponent Ryuuen is to Ayanokoji. Also goddamn I don't remember Ryuuen being that violent with Manabe in the LN, so i'm assuming they added the face smash against the desk to increase the shock factor. Though I personally feel like it would've been better if they hadn't done it that way cuz him not attacking Manabe and basically making her shit herself just with his words was a part of his terrifying nature. For some reason, the way everyone jumped every time Ryuuen would punch the desk made me laugh cuz it looked so funny.
On the other hand, they completely skipped one of the scenes a lot of people were lookin forward to involving Sakayanagi, though it's too premature to judge that since it's very much possible they could show it towards the end of the season (massive hopium).
With each passing ep, i'm slowly losing faith in this adaptation. I really enjoyed the first season but the second season just ain't it so far. If the vol 7 scene ends up being like the one that was shown in the announcement trailer, i'll be fuckin pissed
