  Please read the LN it's so much better it's insane, this anime adaptation is beyond awful, ill give you a summary of this arc tho, not detailed tho.
  Basically Kushida wants to get horikita and ayanokoji expelled because horikita knows about Kushida's past (or at least that's what she thinks) and ayanokoji overall gets in her way. She becomes a traitor to the class and allies with Ryuenn, horikita falls for the trap that has been placed by them and is accused of injuring a member of class C. They blackmail her and demand a huge sum of money in return Ryuenn and kushida will not report them to the school. But since ayanokoji is big brain, he blackmails manabe with evidence that she bullied karuizawa, and he gets manabe to record Ryuenns conversation to his class about what they were going to do in the sports festival to beat horikita. Then ayanokoji sends this evidence to Ryuenn and boom ryuenn can no longer blackmail horikita because if he does then ayanokoji will report him to the school with the video evidence. Team red wins against team white in the sports festival and class d and class a gain more class points. thats about it. Seriously though dont watch this anime they skipped so many details and scenes, read the ln its amazing

    Yup. That's because I'm a novel reader. They cut so many things that affect so much in the narrative that some situations end up being unconnected. I was looking forward to seeing the introduction of Nagumo and not it happened. 13 episodes is little for 5 volumes.

Terrible adaptation for this episode. Not only did they skip the race where Horikita get injured, but that lead them to skip the whole Chabashira sensei talk where she said that during the race we see Horikita looking behind her and that people will think that she tripped her intentionally
Instead after watching this episode we're like "Oh poor Horikita will pay because she does not want to annoy her big brother" when she's just completely fucked by Ryuuen trap and has no choice

  I'm really angry right now at this adaptation and I also made my thoughts clear in my comment below. I agree wholeheartedly with what you said and it feels really shitty that an LN this good gets adapted so poorly.

Oh god, this was so terrible. They completely cut out why Horikita is fucked right now and why Ryuuen can threaten her the way he did in the episode. For those unaware or confused about how it's because they skipped the entire race Horikita was in. There was a girl behind her screaming her name the whole race so naturally, she looked back in response. The footage of the race shows Horikita looking back at the girl but there is no sound so they think she is intentionally looking back for a moment to strike. This is why she's fucked and they skipped over it.
Also, they rushed why Sudou is so angry over the whole event. They boiled down about a chapter's worth of content where he just constantly gets fucked by Ryuuen into like 10 seconds without his inner conflict or reasoning which makes him seem like a senseless monkey with anger issues (which he still has but the LN makes it clear why he's that angry to the reader).
On top of that this episode was really visually lacking and what could possibly be compared to a PowerPoint presentation in some scenes...
I'm honestly really disappointed that my favorite LN gets treated like this and I hope that I could relay my thoughts about this episode in a more civil manner but I honestly can't because I'm so pissed right now.

  I think the animation was good though. Odd during some moments but thats all really. Pacing ruined the episode tho

It def was an odd choice to cut out Horikita's race and only show the outcome, but keep in mind there's still one more ep left in this arc so there's a possibility they'll show what actually happened since the entire situation hasn't been settled yet due to Ryuuens demands. Besides that this arc isn't one that I particularly like except for one certain part (LN readers know what i'm talkin bout) so idrc that much about skipped content here cuz I wna move on to the next arc where shit gets real

This episode was horrendous and incredibly rushed. They really tried to fit most of the mandatory game into the first half of this episode. Most of the actions made little to zero sense and felt like stuff that came out of nowhere. Sudou did not suddenly just get angry; it happened over time, because of Ryuuen stirring things up, and targeting him. It was shown, but incredibly rushed, so none of the build-ups really paid off or left an impact. I, also don't get why they cut Horikita's race out, but I guess it is something they like to do, cut things out and show it as a flash-back when the plot twist happens, but they did not even show the flashback of the race when Ryuuen confronted her about it. In the LN, Horikita was thoroughly losing against Ryuuen, because of his scheme, but they made it out to be her just accepting defeat instantly or not wanting to bother her brother. I'm quite afraid of them turning Nagumo into a background character in the next episode. I really hope that won't happen.

I do not understand why you would skip almost every sport in a sport episode. At least give us the results with some kind of text with a snapshot of the end of the event. Anime only but thats obviously too fast in terms of pacing. Kida ruined the episode for me.
The animation was mid overall with some sketchy bad moments but since its not an action anime it doesn't bother me that bad. The pacing was the real problem
The only good part was kiyo calling horikita useless and grilling her made me laugh, Also Ryuen scheme at the end was great

Cutting the moment which the whole episode revolves around was so bad. Plenty of justification for events are missing and in turn characters look dumber than they are. Worst episode yet. No wonder Japanese fans are absolutely angry at this.

    Of course, we see countless times serious competitions like FIFA, olympics among others where athletes step on and kick each other and no sanction is imposed against them, right?
    this anime is very realistic, do you agree? but tell me "real world" of which dimension?
    I try to imagine any of these students in a real competition and then they start stepping and kicking the other competitors and then the judges and the audience will be looking at the floor or with their eyes closed ignoring the fact
    and there are still people who find this anime "realistic" with activities that impact and prepare them for the world outside of school

The "useless" scene was good. That's where good stops.
The sports was covered poorly but I'm not here for a sports anime. The framing of Horikita doesn't make sense in the anime condensed version and the emphasis on her brother's reputation.
BUT I am not a LN snob and can accept that an anime condensing the LN is going to be a different story. It doesn't have to be as good as the LN to still be top tier anime. I wish they left the plot alone too, but I love how they've portrayed Ayanokouji's character.
Btw I looked at the "spread your legs" scene in dub and they definitely messed up. They kept "spread your legs" but nothing else from the pretend/threatened rape like "do you want my body?" and Karuizawa va was stagnant and rushed that whole conversation.

Yes the school is not realistic; it's not like a school from our world. That's what I meant but I see "real world" is confusing.
In the school, only the most important rules exist and apply only when definitive evidentiary proof. The school believes that you should learn to not expect other individuals or institutions to enforce rules to your benefit or a greater societal purpose like preventing fighting. In their mind, others only enforce rules at the direction of a plaintiff that wins in argument. (This why everyone is so upset that the anime's condensed explanation makes the Horikita blackmail situation and earlier Sudou's trial seem baseless)
The school views the "real world" (the world of the story outside of the school) as harshly competitive like an Ayn Rand philosophy. The author has suggested it's not necessarily set in our present-day world so the school's world view could be more accurate for their world.
Rules do apply as you describe in professional sports but not in the world the school wants students to partake in.

  first, i want to say sorry for the long text but I can't stand to see the crowd "oh how amazing the anime/LN is, the mc is wonderful" being the opposite
  well,I understand the point of your argument and that of the colleague below, but unfortunately, neither can convince me that the school "prepares" and chooses the best to follow the best path in public or private life
  if they are such prodigies they should be somewhere else and not caged fighting each other through mind games and puppets
  if you have a gift, you should refine it and don't waste time using games to see who is the most gifted, have you watched dr. stone? (although the anime is illogical in countless moments until the end of the manga) well, I'll use Senku as an example, he's super smart, now what's the logic to take him and put him in a school with other super prodigies to butt heads with each other ? none
  At the end of the day, anime looks more like a battleroyal than a cooperative society
  and knowing that the author said that the anime takes place in an "alternative world" in which the worldview is different from ours only makes things more illogical than it seems, because inside the school the teachers are blind, deaf and dumb and students can do whatever they want with each other, so what will the outside be like? a world without law? is it a post apocalyptic world like madmax? every man for himself? Or are they in my country?
  even because it seems that when they leave their colleagues will agree that the other colleague is incredible and should prevail in his position, even if the chosen one has a letter of indication from the school
  in addition, the colleague below said that "evidence" is necessary to accuse the other party, ok and the testimony? What about forensic medical examination? the guy is KICKED SEVERAL TIMES and has no bruises, he must be made of iron but the girl who bumped into the other one has a fracture and has no doctor to examine the cause -.- could it be that no one examined the girl before entering the infirmary? or was the doctor also corrupted?
  I know that testimony is not the queen of proofs, however, having a student attacking, coercing and threatening others is enough to silence everyone

    Ok I admit "alternate world" doesn't settle your concerns of how their world doesn't make sense to you.

    That's why I think it's entertaining, thought provoking, and not realistic. The point of the story isn't to say their school is ideal or that we should have a competition-oriented teaching philosophy. It's a story that thinks about what if there was a school like this.
    As a viewer/reader I like to anticipate the potential philosophies and reasons for the S system. But if you think it's just naive or disagree with it enough to not be interested in it's thought than it's not the show for you. If you're completely lost in the potential reasoning maybe consider:
    Chiyabashira and Ayanokouji's belief in an excessively cutthroat, individualist society
    How the students have evolved in how they interact with others
    How the students are getting better at the assigned tasks. They aren't getting better through teaching or training but experience.
    KICKED SEVERAL TIMES
    Yes this scene is absurd perhaps beyond the intention of the author to display an everyone-for-themselves environment. Perhaps even absurd in the LN's damped version.

    In summary, I completely agree that 1) the plot has many flaws 2) the premise is unrealistic
    But this is what attracts me to this anime. There's so much to think about and not everything necessarily goes in a way that's logical to me and other parts aren't logical for you.
    I also say 1) and 2) about two of my other top 5 anime: Tokyo Revengers and Code Geass.
