No I personally wont enjoy watching that arc weekly its a very serious long arc and a long movie focusing on it is a much better idea than a TV series
Completely agree. It's such a focused arc that putting it into a denser format such as a movie will be great. Seeing this arc all in one go will be a solid adaption choice
The arc is great, but i personally wouldn't prefer it as a movie, rather i'd like it more if they just made it a part of s4. If they really wanna make a movie, the shinomiya troubles arc would be a better choice (after s4). Its too big to fit in a movie but still.
nah. It's way too big for a movie and the last part to be a season is stupid too. I think doing this as a movie is fine. I expect after this probably the Hayasaka Arc/Schoolclass Trip Arc as Season 4 (12EP) and shinomiya troubles arc and the rest as Season 5 (maybe 25EP). I don't know how the arcs are named but I hope I didn't forget anything and everyone knows what I mean.
i dont think adapting the ice kaguya arc into a movie is a bad idea, especialy since of how long and serious its is its just disapointing because A1-Pictures is obviously hoping on the movie trend that other series have been doing recently
looks like it's going to cover ice kaguya and new game judging by the key visual, both of which are arcs with enough weight that i feel like it'd be an absolute drag to watch them in a non-movie context
that said to cover them with the depth they deserve it's hopefully going to be around 2 hours long
i'm worried that sticking them both in one movie could fuck the pacing up, but it definitely is the right format for them both independently
let's hope it's in that 2 hour ballpark, if not a bit longer
if they were to do that, they probably would have new game as a b-plot with most of the focus on ice kaguya and probably have it split like 2:1. whether they decide to show it like the manga or have the timelines overlap a bit more, i'm not sure what they're going to do considering they do happen at the same time and are equally dark and dramatic for kaguya standards.
if they manage to pull it off tho it's an easy aoty covering two of kaguya's best arcs at once
