It isn't.
To preface, i have had a dislike for this manga early on in reading it because I think it is objectively subpar in every measurable category. The only reason I'm reading it is to make actually good manga 'taste' so much better. (SPOILERS AHEAD)
~!What finally ruined it for me though was the interactions between Dariel and Bashubaza in ch 27. The emotions are written and drawn horribly. I get Dariel's general temperament but the way he is drawn and written is so unrealistically caring that it seems 100% condescending and impossible for even Buddha to act this way. Not to mention Bashu's poorly drawn emotions of anger, jealousy, and envy. A more apt description of his illustrations would be: you ate your roommate's leftovers from the night before and now he is disappointed and pissed off at you, rather than an actual intent to kill.
Bashu seems like the new strongest opponent Dariel has encountered and should be feeling some kind of fear, especially after Bashu states he is going to kill his wife, kid, family, and all of humanity. Instead, he decides to have a conversation with him mid-fight and apologizes for taking the mithril mine??? Like wtf??? This instantly made my immersion boner drop to 0. First of all, his action of taking the mithril mine was justified, and decides to just apologize for it anyway? In the most condescending way possible too ("If the what happened with the mithril mine hurt you that much, then I apologize") (God I hope this was just a translation hiccup). Even though treatment under Bashu was dogshit he's just like "Oh you can have it back, sorry man, didn't mean to hurt your feelings". Finally, after having intentions to stop Bashu to save his family and humanity, he uses a powerful ability to kill him and then immediately regrets it because??? Wasn't he supposed to resolve himself to do exactly that the whole progression of this chapter???
!~
I frankly don't understand why artists and writers choose to do this. Even if the target audience is on the younger side there are so many simple tweaks to fix to make it significantly better. I feel as though half of these crappy manga have no soul within them. Thanks for listening to my rant. You can tell the progressive overload of discontent crappy manga has built up within me :).
It isn't.
No fucking clue what this manga is nor am I going to read it, but I will say, most of these shitty manga are not passion projects and are simply a cashgrab. Just like the hundreds of isekai manga clones that come out every year. Like 3 of them will be a passion project and will actually be good. Rest is shit.
