Luffy

I love his contagious happiness and unpredictability; he can be super greedy or very selfless depending on the circumstances. I also love his straightforward way of thinking. His angry moments are also so memorable since they happen rarely and when they do, you always get a badass moment from him. Also, he is a true leader and a very charismatic one in his own way.

Naruto

Not a big fan of Naruto and I mean the character.

Ichigo

Haven't watched Bleach so can't say.

So Luffy, Naruto and Ichigo.

Naruto ≥ Luffy >> Ichigo

I like Naruto (in Naruto Shippuden) most and i also hate some of his personality. but the story makes him so loveable. he had the most personality development in all 3 of them. luffy is hard do judge, you have to see at least 500 eps to get how he actually is and man he's flawless. i like him a lot. about Ichigo... he is a cool looking guy with a cool attitude and that's all. nothing really developed in all 366 eps except his power/ relation with his sword.

Naruto, shadow clones are more interesting than anything either is able to do. His ideology is better too. I put Luffy over Ichigo because Ichigo is boring.

  Which skill of Luffy and Ichigo does anything similar? Shadow clones are more interesting. All of them can fight and play tricks, Naruto is the only one whose powers are useful.

    c3 was most likely referring to them as a character not who has more moves and I'm pretty sure even if he meant that category Luffy would take the cake and I Ichigo can do what you said above with just his speed but that's not the conversation

  I'll settle for semi-intelligent, ok. He has good test scores. XDD Naruto and Luffy are creative and a gas a minute, but they're not the sharpest tools in the box. You could also insert "not needlessly reckless protag" here and get a similar result.

luffy is most fun to watch and most well written of 3. it's after multiple re-reads i realized how 3 dimensional his character is and how much growth he goes through. naruto also goes to a lot of growth but does not feel as three dimensional. ichigo feels like what a 40 year old thinks teenagers are like but they are actually not. he feel very one note compare to others. he also have worst fights of 3. he's just boring to follow.

That's a quite hasty take to make since there are teenagers irl that have Ichigo's level of maturity and his maturity stems from the decision he made after his Mom died

  Mature is definitely not the word I would use to discribe ichigo. What i meant was that ichigo feels like does not really have a life outside what we are show on screen. He feel like he exist just for plot to happen to him. Unlike both luffy and naruto who feel like they exist even when story is not happening.
  And besides i find both luffy and naruto to be more mature then ichigo.

Ichigo does have a goal why are people still using that 2012 argument. His goal is to protect his friends and the weak and ok mb for the "weak and timid" part what I meant to say is that he moved on from having people protect him to being the protector. And also why do most shonen fans think not having a goal means you're a trash shonen character. Bleach is character driven whilst the other two are plot driven stop using the standards for plot driven narrative to judge a show which is character driven

Agreed ichigo does grow quite alot as a character. You prolly would be blind not to notice.
Yes the plot does make ichigo look like mary sue but bleach isn't plot driven.

See one of my criteria is not who has the largest skill set, but the most useful and interesting to use. All their base stats should be really similar, didn't you remember Naruto doing the Rock lee barrage?
No shunpou or gomu gomu no gattling gun will be at two places at the same time. Ichigo only knows how to move fast, cut stuff and energy cut things, give me Yachtze over ichigo.
Luffy is slightly more useful, but still skills are not fit to a peaceful environment.
So yeah, Naruto by huge margin.

You do know shadow clones have a risk to multitasking right? They can just go poof had the wrong and most important moment you need them. Example, Himawari's birthday

  Risk/reward tradeoffs. Myself might go poof too at important moments, who knows. Cannot use it for anything too mission critic. Notably since after they poof some of them return to the user, so probably no playing with uranium.
  That is pretty similar to Luffy eating too much and sleeping. Still Naruto's and Ichigo's plot armor says that nothing too important will happen during their down times.

I don't think Luffy was the full-speed-ahead optimism engine you're thinking of in a good portion of Water 7, Thriller Bark, or Summit War. Actually, Ichigo's a bit of that too. He doesn't come off as very level-headed when he goes on to fight guys thrice as strong as him just so he can save his friend. He just jumps into a fight and the plot armor saves him. Imo

I am reading it right now. I am around chapter 400. Just haven’t added it to my list. No feeling ichigo at all. Also why would I give my opinion on something I haven’t read?
