The LN is translated up to Vol 10 and the manga, Vol 8. To read the light novel or the manga, that is the question.

Well I've watched the anime, but I'm guessing the manga is a good alternative. I'd recommend the source material (light novel) always though because it's just the original. I'm not a big fan of light novels so I probably won't read it.

I don't know if you have the time, nor have I read this series yet, but I found that reading both ln and manga at the same time can be an interesting experience.

The manga is quite “interesting” to say the least. Especially it’s portrayal of Ayanokōji. I think that the Light Novel is way more worth it.

Just to clarify, the manga linked here is actually translated upto vol. 4 Ch.3 .
On the other hand, I've been able to find about 15 volumes for the LN .

I think there are 2 volumes of the continuation available too .

I would also like to suggest you read vol.1 through 3, because there are some differences and additional content.

I heard manga is no good and since they picked anime story from manga it got that much hate ..
I'm reading LN and it's pretty amazing ... although it's my first LN

Manga is bad Light Novel is good - Classroom of the elite doesn't really translate that well to Manga or Anime because of all the inner dialogue . If it were to be done well - as a anime - it would have to have Monogatri style monologues

the manga overall sucks as it treats ayanokoji way different than the source material (ln) and its not that ahead of the anime so i would suggest you to read the light novels or wait a month for season 2 if they decide to adapt the light novels properly.

LN hands down... Honestly I wouldn't even bother with the anime and the manga they're not up to snuff... Perhaps with the exception of the manga for year 2 but the only way to finish year one rn is with the books sooo
