Discussion thread for Volume 6 of Classroom of The Elite: Year 2
Volume 6, sure had its up and downs. It was quite the roller coaster, with great moments. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I only really disliked the scene with Horikita, Ibuki, and Kushida, as it felt kind of forced, in my opinion, other than that everything was great. The ending was also really great. Not Haruka, wanting revenge, but Ayanokouji revealing his plan. It is really phenomenal build-up and is setting a good premise for future volumes. The volume didn't focus a lot on the sports festival, but setting up events for the future, and it was genuinely fantastic build-up.
Him revealing his plan was the second best moment for me, just behind Nagumo's scene. I am really looking forward to the upcoming volumes, with all this build-up. I always have been, but now it is starting to get really interesting.
So did you enjoy this volume?
Favorite moment?
Predictions?
I didn't really enjoy, the Kushida incident, or whatever you'd call it. It just didn't feel right. She has been a traitor since volume 4 of the first year, but after someone calls her actions childish, she changes her mind? Of course, it might be an act but doesn't feel like it. Her returning to the class makes sense and all, but the vibe I got was that she'd help the Class advance to Class A, without the entire implication of her being a traitor or doing other stuff.
My favorite moment was of course when Nagumo was winning event after event at the sports festival. I was worried, that he'd lose or something, because of all the Ayanokouji-simps nonchalantly, screaming "Kiyotaka crushed Nagumo." But Nagumo wasn't losing. He was winning.
Ayanokouji's monologue at the ending was rather interesting. I hope he leaves their class eventually, but that might also first be far out in the future since his goal is to develop the class and have them beat him. I don't think Horikita will ever beat him, though, since he won't go easy on them.
Also, seems like Ayanokouji has found the white room student, since he said "Amawasa or the other one," Of course, he might be wrong, but I don't think he will.
