"Are the Ireneverse and the Steel Ball Run universe the same?"; a common misconception

Thanks to @JFlick's thread and this paleolithic post on reddit, it has come to my attention that many people have the false impession that Pucci's universe redefinition in Stone Ocean's epilogue is the cause of the series' general reboot in Steel Ball Run. Even though it is a demonstrable fact that the SBR-verse and the Ireneverse have no relation whatsoever, seeing as this is a common misconception, I am interested in hearing your thoughts.

  Precisely; and even if it was substantially considered as a part of the series, there is still nothing connecting the said universes. Perhaps the fact that both the Ireneverse and the Sbr universe are reboots/redefinitions of the og JoJoverse confuses some.

Ireneverse follows the exact same past as part 1 to part 5 but with one exception that Pucci is erased, since Pucci isn't there anymore, the remains of Dio aren't there either which results in ending the Dio-JoJo rivalry. I also remember reading about it somewhere.

so to clarify sbr is no way chronologically connected or plot connected to the first 6 parts?

Precisely. The main focus of this thread it to specifically differentiate the two said redefinitions of the original universe, though.
