I just read Mascara Blues and I have a question about chapter 3

So basically I love how it explores transgender representation but from the site I read they have a scene where the character says "I have gender lesion" is this a mistranslated? Cause it sounds like it should be translated as gender dysphoria. Does it have another meaning in the raws or is it a way for the author to get around some weird kind of censorship thing when publishing material in japan.
