Gintama watch order

I think it's pretty straight forward. You can easily look for it here on Anilist.
Start here: https://anilist.co/anime/918/Gintama/ then on the relations part, you can see the sequel. Then check the sequel and you'll see the sequel of the sequel and so on. That's pretty much the watch order. If you stream it, some sites have all the seasons as one continuous series labeling each episode as episodes 1-360+ (that's all seasons currently) just like Naruto and One Piece.

So yeah, basically watch from oldest to newest.

it is not that complicated. just the release order.
Gintama -> Gintama' -> Gintama' Enchousen -> Gintama° -> Gintama. -> Gintama silver soul s1 -> s2 -> End of Manga

go to the browse section, search gintama, and then sort by release date and that should be fine

I found this on instagram and wanted to know if I have to watch it this way. I thought it was just season 1 then 2 and so on

I only watched the seasons after each other and really enjoyed it so I'm pretty sure you won't lose any important information watching it that way. (But that way in the picture may be more enjoyable)

well this is indeed just season 1 to 2 to 3 etc except the guy wrote the complete name of the seasons and replaced the Benizakura arc in the anime with the movie version. I don't really understand the point of this except to confuse new watchers for no reason but yes you can use this watching order or the one on anilist which are both the exact same thing.

that is the chronological order of gintama.

even though gintama is an episodic anime, you'll better understand the story behind it if you watch it in that order.

as for the benizakura arc, I think it's better to watch the movie because it has extra scenes that the anime doesn't have, and the quality is superior. so i recommend u to watch the movie instead

i see people saying to watch the movies but i dont know whats in order or what's not

The first movie is a remake of the Benizakura arc from the gintama series between episodes 58-61. you could watch the movie instead of the original episodes. It has a few scenes added which one of them might be a spoiler but if you dont mind watch it. The second movie is a stand alone one called "Yorozuya forever". this one is to better to be watched after season 3 but if you watch it another time is not a big deal. the third movie is the finale of the anime which has been turned into a movie and comes in bluray in 3 weeks i think. Its the addaptation of the last chapters remaining of the story.

On this List: Why do I have to watch Gintama Porori (EP 329 - 341), after the Love Potion OVA and is it bad if I just watch the episodes in the normal order?

No. Just Watch it in normal order. I'm also like that. Anyway, Because Porori arc and Love Potion OVA are actually unadapted manga chapters before Gintama° (291-316). But you Can just watch It in normal order.

This is the chronological order to watch the show. If this order looks too confusing, then you can just follow the release order.

i dont know what you mean by "important ones" but if you want to just skip to the serious plot i dont recommend that. You can skip the OVAs tho thats what i did

yeah actually i thought that the movies were filler type too so i asked i never knew that the movies are the related to the series and gintama is best comedy afterall so i will definately love to watch more of it
