story breaks at chapter 1

the whole premise is really dumb.
We got a Female Main Character who knows that the position of queen is a dangerous one. Furthermore she wants an “easy life”. She is already the beautiful daughter of a rich and influential noble who gets proposed to be the emperor to be his queen in a loveless contractual marriage. She knows that 2 years into that marrigae the original heroine comes in and gets the queen, her, exiled or killed.
So why the fuck does she accept the proposal to the marriage? She could just not marry or marry any other noble who would actually love her.
The premise and plot feels idiotic to say the least. Like a grade schooler came up with it who couldn’t be bothered to check for obvious logic holes.
Sorry but if the first couple chapters have such a huge logical hole where it starts to make no sense, the whole story is trash.
Like building a house on sand if the foundation gives way the whole thing crumbles.
At any point in the stoey you can ask: Wait why didnt she just decline the marriage proposal everyone expected her to decline? That would literally solve tge whole plot.
As I see it that 90 useless chapters with a whole lot of nothing
