What I think the horror is would be something like: Some serial killer keeps stalking you from the dark. Which i guess i find kinda scary, because thats all i think about when im walking alone.
I'm terrible at explaining things but the "horror" in Monster Is psychological. It's pretty much the main villain messing with everyone's minds n stuff.
I think he's name is Johan, but if I understood it right he makes them wonder and regret living by asking questions regarding life

Well... its not really a horror but more like a psychological thriller. There are few horror aspects in it i guess. But its more about one messed up serial killer and a doctor fighting his principals vs johans mind games.

yes, the beginning draws you in right away. i would say the first half of the story is like trying to solve a mystery, as tenma tries to figure out who johan is and his connection to him.

Its not scary. If thats your biggest problem with you not wanting to watch it then just watch it.

its not really horror there isnt any supernatural elements in it and its more of a psychological thriller but can be a slow burner at times

It's not the kind of horror you probably think about , there is a serial killer but his thing is just messing with people's minds more so then the killing.
still it's one of the greatest shows I have watched , really recommend it.

there's no horror in monster imo, it's more about the thriller and mystery aspect
