i'm going to be honest, i hope berserk doesn't get another anime adaptation. Its hard to even imagine how they could possibly get some of the art to give the same vibe. Its way too detailed to ever be given a proper adaptation without spending movie level's amount of money per episode
I think if it does get an adaptation again, they should get rid of the horrible CGI and actually put in the details from the manga. I wouldn't mind if they would make a super long series out of it, as long as it's incredibly good and done with a ton of effort and dedication to make it perfect. Also just out of respect, y'know? The adaptation from 2016 is nothing but a disgrace. I can live with the 90s show and the 3 movies from 2012 are OKAY... But none of them are NEARLY as good as the manga.

From what I've seen of the Manga I would say MAPPA, they always stay mad faithful to the manga's style
(they also did dorohedoro who's manga is mad, granted it was CGI)

I'd go with WIT or MAPPA personally. Ufotable could do magic with the source material but the really colorful and vibrant ascetics that's in all their anime's wouldn't translate to Berserk at all

Kyoto animation, they have (currently) light enough schedule and if they were to commit to the project I'm sure they'd do it justice :)

I wouldn't go labeling studios for "type of anime". If forked over let's say 50 million for 24 eps adaptation, I imagine that it would become their type of anime.
Has KyoAni ever made an action anime? I’ve only seen or heard of slice of life and romance that they’ve made.

those are the only 2 i think can handle turning the dark and grittyness of the manga into a good anime

i think if it got one now and it went to a great studio like white fox, it would get all the care they could possibly do out of honor

its just hard to imagine it being done justice
i haven’t read it so i can’t look at that dksjsb. so i can’t say for sure. but i’m sure they’d do what they can. whether or not or likes re zero, you have to admit white fox has put a lot of love and care into its adaptation so if it were to get berserk i think it could do it justice. if anything, which could be disappointing to some, whatever is behind that they’d make an anime equivalent. since you can’t match miura’s greatness all you can do is take what was already there and make it your own. but i don’t think it’d be a disappointment per se, just what they could do with a new medium.

It is impossible to recreate these panels no matter how talented the animators. The art from the Golden Age arc was difficult to recreate on its own but after switching to digital Miura basically started drawing pixel by pixel. They'll need a team of 1,000 people for a single 12 episode to even come close to it.
Man if MAPPA did that, that shit would of looked fucking incredible. I like how in the early stages of the manga Kaiman looks more like a lizard (before his design change) instead of a dinosaur like in the anime

as an anime only, how well was the anime adapted form the manga? i found the anime super confusing so i’m curious about that. and, when does the story stop being confusing LMAO. i thought about reading the manga but i didn’t know much longer i’d have to stay confused sksnsbsn
haha, ive only just started reading it after my older brother suggested it but atm its actually been mad faithful, which i like because we arent given answers and instead have to piece shit together (it took some time to get used to Kaiman not being big and bulky and instead being tall and lanky though).

this isn't a dig at the aot manga but the artstyle is pretty bad, especially compared to the anime
though it'd be very difficult to replicate miura's artsyle due to the sheer level of detail in his illustrations.
Yes like Inuyasha, Full Metal Panic, Beyond the boundry from ones I've seen. Didn't see anything dark as Berserk but watching some scenes from latest Dragon Maid I'm pretty sure they could do amazing job. I mean in recent years they've done more SoL and romance but maybe no one offered them anything out of that genre or have some stable deal with a publisher who is interested in these kind of works. Don't know. But animation wise they do top work and I enjoy Violet Evergarden and Dragon Maid when it comes to director choices, so that's why I'd go with them.
