mochikoSep 16, 20211 replies164 viewsI want to get into this franchise, but I hear the original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z stretch out like certain fights or parts across tons of episodes that are much shorter in the manga. I know Kai is supposed to fix this problem but I really want to watch the original as I like the old style and feel significantly more than that of Kai. It's daunting looking at like a 400+ episode commitment and knowing that maybe lots of that time will be wasted in a sense?
I only really want to watch the original Dragon Ball and Z (and any movies if I need to/if they're worth watching).
You can always skip the fillers, you can check the filler list here for example. Other than that there's nothing I can think of.
As for movies I personally didn't watch any DB and DBZ movies, only the DBS ones. But that doesn't mean they aren't good. Bardock: The Father of Goku, Worlds Strongest, Coolers Revenge, The Return Of Cooler, The Tree of Might, Dead Zone, Fusion Reborn - those are probaly the ones worth watching.
