How do you think Mappa will pace the manga? That was one of my main thoughts when I was reading it, because the Shibuya arc was longer than I expected. I think there's a couple ways they can tackle it
Option 1 - 1 season about 12 ep with the Gojo backstory, and the fight with Mechamaru and Mahito and end it there.
Or have it end with Gojo being sealed. Then make the next season about 24 ep be the rest of the Shibuya arc, This is my favorite option, but the thing that worries me is how they will animate the whole Shibuya arc, There is a lot of fights and the backgrounds are more complicated than the ones we've seen, such as the subway with tons of people, do you think they'll use CGI for them. So that's why I can also see them cut up the Shibuya arc which leads to option 2
Option 2 - 1 season with 24 eps that covers the Gojo backstory and half the Shibuya arc, and then later another 12 ep arc covering the rest of Shibuya or another 24 ep season covering the second half of Shibuya and the rest of the ongoing stuff at the moment. I can see this option to lower the work load for the Shibuya arc, and too have another 24 ep season
What do you think?, I'm also basing this off of how many chapters they used in the first season. Either way Mappa is gonna be busy, and probably over worked to death.
Another question?
What are some of your favorite scenes, u cant wait to see animated.
Mine are
- Gojo losing his shit
- Anything Toji related
- The fight with Yugi and the 3rd cursed brother, because they fight in the bathroom, with water spraying everywhere, that a cool ass place to have a fight and that would be fire in the anime.
- The deaths of many of the characters, sad but I want to see them in anime form, because they usually seem to hit more, for me personally as a man who's read like 5 manga
- And finally Maki just going ham on the Zenin clan, that is gonna be so hype.
