Yeah of course, it's meant to be read that way otherwise most of these panels become disconnected and makes it hard to follow. Just go to the settings where you can enable it

I don't know if i really fuck with it? Paneling was pretty confusing and the tone shift was really jarring but it's good that it was made this early on to like, not weird out the readers when we're much deeper in the story

Lost ending was kinda cool
It seems that the general consensus is that the chapter was very confusing, which I can see why to some extent, but I think ppl are trying to analyze each panel a bit too much when all we really need to know is that:
-There's a possibility for Humans to become Choujins if they have an aptitude when exposed to Choujin powers.
-Each prefecture has a Choujin protector
As for how did I find the chapter? I had a couple good laughs here and there, paneling work was very dynamic and I'm loving how Ishida's taking some liberties with the artstyle. Overall a good chapter, it didn't do much to advance the story but it was a solid chapter.

Right now it's still messy because we don't know anything about the story, the only thing we know is that we have a boy and a girl who are both possible Choujin. To be honest I really like this already, it could literally go anywhere. This chapter will get so clear once we are further in the story.
I love the art, it just keeps getting better and better. I'm also super interested in that bird-faced boy.
2nd chapter of any fresh series is incredibly important, and this was a confusing pile of shit. dropped

I'm confused but i kinda like that. I like how its a series that gives you enough info to kinda understand whats going on and shows more than it does tell. Paneling was a bit wonky but other than that it makes me excited still for the next chapter
If the next chapter is like this, i'm dropping it. The art is still amazing but it's confusing and miles worse than the first
I don't really care about the story that much but I love how many fresh ideas he's trying to incorporate into this manga. I thought this was just going to be some post-Tokyo Ghoul depression where he doesn't know what to do so he just makes Tokyo Ghoul all over again, but I'm really glad to see that he's taking himself into a new direction. The story is confusing but I'm here for a lot more than just that, I'm here to see how he evolves, and I'm just glad to see that he seems to be evolving, even if these are the rocky beginning stages
it was pretty damn great, as confusing as it was initially. I think the shift in tone is made to enhance the fact that we'll probably be viewing this story from two perspectives, and maybe become intertwined somewhere along the road. This is shaping up to be something pretty unique and interesting if my hypotheses are right, but we're barely 2 chapters in so who's to say lol
I really liked it. It was another chapter that was low on exposition and info dumps and instead, spent more time on letting the characters and story develop naturally while subtly revealing new, important information on the subject of Choujin as well as the general setting of the story, which helps building the world. You can also feel that the author is really having fun with this manga and wants to keep it entertaining for his readers. Contrary to most of these complaints here, I didn't really have any issues with following the panels and action sequences. albeit I can see where some might have troubles following certain parts. However those parts are made more clear now with the revised version of the chapter that Ishida released shortly after, so I recommend checking it out again. The transformation sequences look really fantastic and I like that he is spending more time on that aspect as it's meant to be a turning point for these characters. Similiar to the first chapter, you can see a "X" behind Ely in this chapter while transforming as well, that was really neat. With that said though, I wish we had gotten few more panels of Azuma and Tokio. Also, the tractor chase scene, while amusing, was a bit too drawn out in my opinion. Other than that, it was a great second chapter and reminds me of "The Penisman" more than anything with its grotesque and freaky nature.
