the second season isnt canon for the most part, and if youre asking for the majority's opinion it wasnt as good. so go straight for the manga

manga is a lot better. Season 2 of the anime skips an entire arc and there's a pretty important character in the manga that doesn't even exist in the anime

the manga is worth it and the first maybe 70% is amazing, then it goes downhill and the ending is super rushed. i still enjoyed it tho !

I don't see why you would have the option to drop The Promised Neverland in your question. That is unless you did not enjoy the story enough to continue (which you never mention in your original post whether you enjoy The Promised Neverland or not). Assuming that you did enjoy the series enough that you want to continue you can simply just move on to season 2 or just read the original manga. Personally I would not recommend picking up the manga from where the anime adaptation left off as there is, you can say, additional story and information that was not present in the anime adaption that gives more glimpse to the main story and the characters. As someone who has started with watching the anime adaption of The Promised Neverland and then read the manga from the beginning it felt like a bonus. I was learning new information about the characters and it added to my enjoyment of the series.

I did give season one a 10/10 actually. But everybody has been saying the rest is so bad that I got scared. I didn't want it to end up like Tokyo Ghoul:re anime. Thanks for the info. I'll probaby just read the manga from the start and that's it.

that's it. after that they lived happily ever after no need to watch season 2 matter of fact, there is no such thing as promised neverland season 2

from what I've heard, the manga also goes way downhill in the end, it's just that the show managed to be somehow worse. My course of action here was to stop after s1. S1 is an excellently made thriller that works just fine without a continuation, since the whole central intrigue is resolved. Just take ep 12 as an open ending and don't bother with the rest, if you ask me.

I heard season 2 is very bad compared to season 1, and is way different then the manga. I was wondering if I should just read the manga or watch season 2 also.
