i dropped it four times then later finished it
It really depends lol. I memed the entire anime, and I really loved it. Gave it a 9/10, too, but that's really just me haha. Simply, it's just really fucked. Makes you think what and why the fuck did this and that happen. I'd recommend you give it a try first, then decide.
yes.
it's a gr8 hate watch, especially if you can make fun of it with someone else
I thought it was pretty hot.
I made the mistake of trying to enjoy it for real. Made me sick sometimes but for sure a good watch if you wanna scream at the characters. OP is the only thing I genuinely liked about the show tho.
its a complete trainwreck so yes you should watch it
yws

If you like high quality soap opera trash then sure. I think the manga does it better though. If anime only give it a go, doubt there will ever be a second season though.
Anime like this are hard to get produced. They fall into obscurity because some are not bold enough to watch them. I liked it quite a bit and it's distant cousin Scums Wish. When you want plot with some realistic drama without the lighthearted comedy tropes these shows are there. Interspecies Reviewers is another that should have a s2
Personally I don't get the connection between this and Scums Wish, Scums Wish is full of, well, scummy characters and Domestic Girlfriend despite the spice in it actually feels rather innocent. No one is out to hurt anyone after all. At least with the main trio. S2s always seem to be doubtful to ever come out too why I am hesitant to start new shows that will never see completion. Though why we would get more Rent-a-Girlfriend and not more of this baffles me.
absolutely not
Ironically, yeah, it is. Peak dumpster fire.
The manga is a 10/10
I know Im like 2 years late but oml this anime is insane like it just keeps going and more wild stuff keeps happening and it just keeps 1 uping itself
It all depends upon what you're looking for.
If you're looking for a serious story in a crazy situation, then its for you.
If you're looking for a light story in a crazy situation, then skip it. There are plenty of love polygons harem ecchi shows out there.
I personally was looking for latter but end up transitioning upto former category & liked the show.
I think about it because of the Allure of forbidden romance it's just that scum's wish has more of it. I think it's been long enough for me to go ahead and watch both in succession now because it just keeps coming up despite my desire to continue to chase new shows haha.
One of the reasons I hate anime is that you'll have shows from 10 or 15 years ago you thought were finished and you get another season or shows you hope will get one and they don't after you got all invested. I'm hesitant with new shows unless the "ending" is good enough to tie up most things so I try to focus on old ones or new single cour ones that don't leave you hanging
Oh both have that for sure, its just that Scums Wish the characters long for others but get involved with others and hurt each other, really toxic. DG at least are honest if naïve.
For me when I see an older show now I do want to know if there is a satisfactory conclusion. I usually look at what source of the show (manga/LN whatever) is. If the manga for instance had ended before the show aired and was relatively short than most likely the whole thing was adapted. Of course doesn't mean it was done well but that is always the chance we take with a new show :D
Worse now in the age of seasonal shows though, days of long term shows like Legend of the Galactic Heroes is gone I think. Something like AoT is a rarity.
Ah yes the golden days are long gone. I remember watching HxH for the first time and was disappointed that it wasn't continuing after the main arc was adapted. Mainly due to the creators illness which seems to happen quite a lot.
LotgH is one that I have been waiting to start watching for some time now. There is also Die Nue which I hear mixed things on but I'll probably watch it once it's finished. It's honestly the best space opera in anime form similar to Babylon 5 and nowadays it doesn't seem like studios are taking those risks anymore. AoT took a long time to finally finish lol.
Looking at the source material is a good strat but isn't dependable enough because sometimes only a majority is adapted and there isn't enough left for a new season. I find myself asking Google "Is xxx finished??" Before I go down the rabbit hole of acquisition haha. I really hope some of my favorite isekai come back like Log Horizon. NGL finally did so anything is possible. You also have Danmachi and Demon Lord which are kinda long going and Spy Family and Jujutsu Kaisen as well since 2020. Of course there's also the 20yr old One Piece too lol
