none because they are both completely different genres and stories so I don't see why one of them should be superior.
I mean they both are pretty similar. Similar mc etc. Anything with factors that could be compared usually are compared.
Personally, I like Code Geass more, but more objectively, Geass might be better than Death Note because pretty much all of it is good, whereas 1/3 of Death Note is considered mediocre by most people.
That's pretty questionable lol. The whole Ragnarok System and God stuff in R2 was weird as hell and super out of place.
Honestly a lot of R2 is a mess, but the ending saves it.
Both are of different genres and focus on different themes, so is kinda difficult to compare them. But, despite being different, I find Code Geass better than Death Note in the overall.
Kira vs. L was amazing (easily better than most of Code Geass), but the las third of Death Note was really disappointing and didn't lived up to what it had built. Code Geass on the other hand was more consistent and managed to have one of the best finales in anime. Both of them are great animes tho

i guess i'll give my say since i made this forum. the l vs kira arc was amazing, the near vs kira arc not BAD but not nearly as good. code geass beats out the second death note arc, but not the first. so i can't really choose, just wanted to see other's takes.

Personally I prefer code geass a bit more, I'm curious why you choose both of these shows that are widely different to each other apart of the MC.

Both are amazing. It's useless comparing.
I love both shows completely I don't think you should compare them as they are highlighted for their own purposes with code geass taking a more political/military standpoint while Death Note takes on a more secret agency type of encounter between two super geniuses with the possession of super natural beings. Code Geass doesn't have that aspect to it as its just complete mecha fighting and strategy. Only similarity is how both main characters try to act like a sort of godlike ruler.
Both are great shows but I slightly enjoyed Death Note a bit more than CG.
