this really annoyed and irked me because this mistake was so dumb that it almost seemed intentional. was this even a mistake? did the writer put it in there fully knowing that the afghanistan war didn't start until 2001?
when the afghanistan war was mentioned it pretty much felt like i was watching bbc's sherlock. it feels like moriarty the patriot is actually based off bbc's sherlock rather than on sir arthur conan doyle's works. viz media's description of moriarty the patriot says "based on the works of sir arthur conan doyle" but after seeing the afghanistan war being mentioned, it is definitely not based on the works of sir arthur conan doyle.
i'm considering dropping this series because i could literally just re-watch sherlock (the original series) rather than moriarty the patriot (what feels like the manga adaptation of the original series).
did anyone else notice this? did it seem odd??? what do you guys think?
Not a mistake. Pretty sure it was the First Afghan-Anglo war they referenced. That war took place from 1839 to 1842.
