there are a couple of arcs like dark continent and succession arcs that don't have an anime yet, since they came out after the 2011 anime finished airing (plus the arcs arent even finished yet).
hypothetically, in your opinion: what studio would adapt the upcoming arcs? would it still be madhouse, or maybe a different studio entirely? Or is there a studio you wish would adapt them?
edit: if you want my opinion, i wish for studio pierrot
they were the guys behind yu yu hakusho adaptation (one of togashi's older manga work), so it'd be fitting if pierrot did a proper HxH adaptation too

what about dorohedoro? it's also from mappa and over half of it is cg
i havent seen dorohedoro, so i wasnt aware
is that the only cg anime theyve made though? theyre not exactly known for cgi compared to e.g. studio orange. so its less likely an adaptation made by mappa will be cgi
looking at their portfolio, looks like it's their only 3d adaptation. with dorohedoro it was at least somehow justifiable, especially considering the fact, that the main character has a lizard head, and its movement would look ankward if it was hand drawn (at least i can't imagine it)
If there was a studio I wish could animate the succession war arc it would be either Mad house or Wit because Mappa would use cgi and Ufotable only does 2 anime per year

There's potential but their current portfolio is pretty lacking judging by the scores plus they're working on the Pluto adaption which has been in development hell for years.

studio pierrot is garbage now , they turn great manga into mid anime, i mean take a look at tokyo ghoul and black clover. i think WiT and Madhouse would be solid choices, both adapt manga very well
studio pierrot mightve made bad work (but i wouldnt know bc i dont watch TG or black clover), but i brought them up because they not only made a pilot for hxh, but they also adapted yu yu hakusho: another manga of togashi's. which was very well recieved as far as i know. since theyre already familiar with togashi's work, it wouldnt be difficult to cover HxH. if they do fuck it up though, i think the impact would be much bigger so im not sure if theyd dare to fuck it up.
madhouse is pretty inactive aside from doing 2-3 anime a year, and they arent in the same glory as they used to. last time i heard anything in the mainstream was people complaining about CCSakura:Clear Card arc. but i see why people would rather stick to the same studio who made the 2011 adaptation of HxH.
WiT is a solid choice, but their most popular work often get transferred to another studio after doing a first season (like AoT being transferred to Mappa). i don't want animators to suffer if WiT only makes one season and transfer the rest of the work to Mappa.
