It's so weird how everyone hypes the first arc in the manga but universally agrees that it gets bad after that. Anime seems to have done even worse from what I've heard with s2 but honestly I'd say judge for yourself and check it out.

Yes, I'd recommend you read the manga, it's 100% worth it. Personally, I feel like the skipped arcs and characters had a lot of potential and value. As for the ending, It did feel very Rushed, but if you're okay with that then you should go for it.
I would say it's worth reading. I felt like the author was trying to wrap up the story and plot threads as quickly as possible and pulled some scenes out of thin air like reviving the person who helped quell the riot.
Most people would agree that the ending was rush and that the quality of the story went down near the end.
Having said that, do give it a read and create your own opinion. While I agree that the ending was rushed, I still enjoyed it. The Goldy Pond arc was really good, especially the final battle. You'll also better understand the importance of promises.

All I can say is, the manga is definitely better the second season of the anime itself. Worth it or no? Definitely worth it. Good or no? Personally, I'd give 7.5/10 for the story and since I enjoyed it, I'd give it a solid 8.
While the second half of the manga isn't as great as the first half and the ending could had been better, I still think it's a great read overall!
i'd totally recommend it! the manga is definitely much better than s2 since they tried to fit 130 chapters in 11 episodes, leaving out around 30 characters and multiple arcs who contributed to the characters' development in the manga. it is really worth it.

Yes 100% compared to the anime it’s not as rushed but it still has some pacing problems towards the end. Everything else is top tier tho imo.
also like around 80+ chapters were cut from the second season (for reference the first season adapted around thirty chapters so this is like more than two full seasons worth of new content) so that means new characters, new plot lines, new locations, better character development, new fights, and an ending that differs from the one in the show.
