I like how Shuri’s childhood friend flat out admitted he has a crush on her. In other anime (namely romance ones) they usually deny it. I found it refreshing

But I ship Shuri with Setsu not with his friend :P
Masterpiece.

Just watched ep 2 and 3 together cause I got a little behind, but I am really enjoying this. Ep 3 introduced Shuri and Yui's motivations quickly and simply, showed us Setsu struggle with finding his sound, and was funny to boot. The pacing is a little fast, but there's really no "fat" or filler: everything just keeps developing, so it's really not an issue. Can't wait to see what comes next and where this will go by the end of the season.
(just gonna gush here about Umeko and Setsu performing together in Ep 2: got insane goosebumps, and that scene was really good at showing us the current state of their relationship)
Setsu Sawamura is so cute and sweet.
Great animation again, same for the artstyle. The story goes a little fast sometimes, but for now I am really enjoying this anime and I really don't like it when the episode ends. That means I'll have to wait for the next episode again haha.
They did a really good job of portraying the piece that Kousuke(?) played. I'm honestly not for any Shuri x Setsu action. Hopefully, it goes towards the childhood friend route and Setsu gets with literally anyone else. The fact that Yui was able to realize that his playing was lacklustre was a detail that I appreciated, especially since I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference without all the commentary.
