Yeah, i see what do you mean!

The NGE anime and manga is completing each other.
I saw the anime and movies and waiting for the last. And i think i will rewatch all of the series and movies before 3.0+1.0 for more better analizing scenes and get fresh memories.

And the manga take another route from the anime, right?
If the manga missed some demential magic, this version is interesting enough?

Yes the manga takes a different route towards the end, it's good don't get me wrong, it's still nge, but it felt like an easier to swallow product, more accessible to the masses in comparison to the anime and consequently loosing that magic imo. One of the things that i missed the most were shinji's monologues, many are absent in the manga. I didn't watched the new movies yet, I'm too scared of disappointment, soon or later i will check them out..
