[ HOW TO READ ] Classroom Of the Elite Light novel (guide and links)

if you have just finished the anime of youzitsu ( Classroom Of the Elite ) and you want to start the novel, I suggest you to start from vol. 4, keeping in mind what the anime has removed or changed from the novel

Is just so fuckin bad just dont read it, is not COTE anymore but a stupid random romcom so if you are interested in COTE watch the anime and then read the novel

The anime did a poor job in doing the source material justice, in this case: Suzune Horikita takes up most of the other heroines' spotlights.Kei Karuizawa was damaged the most, since episode 7 was supposed to be featuring her bonding moments with Ayanokoji, she also was the one who help Ayano put a stop to the three idiots plan, not Suzune. Some scenes were made up, particularly the scene where she stands on top of the diving board to give that speech.The final scene of her confronting Ayanokouji about his plan and him 'toolzonning' her, she never acted like a tsundere like that(blushing and all), eventhough i think that's ok and pretty cute, it does not really fit her character in LNs atm! why you should read it ( spoiler )
~!Classroom of the elite is so popular for multiple reasons as someone who has read up to year 2 v 2 I can explain it to you but I will be bias.

-OP main character. In the light novels you understand how much better Ayanokoji is better than everyone else.

• Volume 1-3 is what the anime adapted. Honestly these in the grand scheme feel like a tutorial. You don’t really understand how much better it is until you continue reading or how complex somethings get. Imo later arcs and novels are better.

• Characters all have flaws. All or mostly all of them show growth as time goes on. You learn a lot about a whole cast of characters through reading the books. In addition characters have unique personalities.

• Characters that are rivals or apart of other classes all have different personalities and quirks that explain how their class does things during exams.

• The later volumes often have real stakes where there’s a very real possibility of people getting expelled. Plots, exams, and arcs for the most part all are different and throw the readers curveballs. It’s not always linear and often unexpected things happen.

The vast amount of characters with different inner workings between classes is very interesting.

In the light novels you get way more context to how or what is happening, character interactions that are quite good, and more general knowledge of how things work.

• On top of this characters fail and rise and fall as well as classes.

• It in many ways it is very psychologically based and it keeps things fresh and interesting.

Aside from one novel it always seems like there’s multiple things going on and it’s very enjoyable to read.

My personal experience

im at y2 vol3 (17 volumes) waiting for vol4, after vol 5/6 i noticed how the story is going so smoothly well and i was frightfully impressed the author is playing with a very large and difficult puzzle without any flaws piece by piece, this man is a genius.

p.s. i know that my english sound stupid but I'm italian and in still learning how to express myself, i just wanted to let you guys know how classroom of the elite is good in my way
