fr this shit makes absolutely no sense, Mikaela is the kid who's running around with yu, but there's also a mikaela who is just kinda hanging out, and it's not mikalea, and its not the first, so i guess its the original mika the son of the first, but there's no reason why he should be there, cause he's dead, he's just kinda dead. like he died before the first invented/discovered vampirism or demons or anything, plus they never introduce him as a player in all this. And guren makes no sense too, despite being the actual main character of the story ever since the betrayal thing he just has had no real character motivation. None of the fighting makes sense anymore.

Yeah Guren seems to have became an afterthought, considering it was him who caused the end of the world and he killed Mika. You'd think he'd have a bigger role (maybe he does in chapters yet to come) but everyone is overlooking it because 'family' and how he's gonna save all of humanity (that worked well the first time right)

Over the past two years I've been so tempted with dropping this manga, and the time it takes for each chapter doesn't help either.

I've just caught up to chapter 103 and it's all so confusing, I think clearer conversations between characters would help. But maybe I'm just not understanding the plot well, it seems to be one big twist after another which I find hard to follow.

I think current demon Mika, is the former dead son of The First and given that The First seemed like a pretty big guy on campus, it makes sense for Ashamura and the other demons to refer to (Dead son now demon) Mika as 'The King', if his father was some from of royalty from the start. But then whats with the whole 3 demons wanting him either captured or dead? Idk I just want to see Ashera reunited with Krul somehow

It appears that turning Mikaela into a demon is part of Shikamadouji's plan. It is revealed in the 2nd anime that demons come from vampires, just as Asuramaru was once vampire Asura Tepes, Krul Tepes's brother. Guren and Mahiru attacked and turned Mikaela into a demon through some process, probably so that they can be the first to acquire him as a demon weapon through Yu instead of having Mika falling into Shikamadouji's hands. In response, Shikamadouji sent the demons of the black demon series to capture Mikaela, and Guren's team tries to get to him first.
