Yeah like they didn't even let Rimuru brood over what happened or reflect on his actions that led to this happening. He was upset for all of like 3 minutes on screen and then went back to being cheery. They could have at least let the whole episode be about his reaction to everyone's death, and even after he learned about the demon lord thing he could have thought about what will happen to him after he kills at least 10 thousand humans. I get that's not what the show is about but I just spent the last 3 weeks being pissed and devastated by the massacre and Rimuru spent 3 minutes

they still haven't dealt with the three annoying piss ants. so this show will definitely hold off on the massacre till episode 10. 1 gets choked, 1 gets decapitated, and 1 gets his body taken over. can't wait!!!!!

  He should have killed Youm and that other dude too. Youm betrayed him and they both were defending someone who aided in the genocide of Rimuru's people. I get that she didn't have a choice, but they did, and their actions prevented one of the barriers from falling and allowed more monsters to be killed. If Rimuru hadn't been informed of this Demon Lord resurrection trick, I think he would have been less inclined to simply let them go free without any consequences. At least I hope he wouldn't have

I was kinda pissed at first tbh but now that u think of it she had no other choice other than to follow his orders and sure u could say she should've given up her life so others won't die but tbh everyone's selfish i can't blame her for not wanting to die.

  well she herself also know Clayman likely won't keep his promise and still gonna kill Yomun anyway, yet she still chose to do it.

  I get her survival instinct and not wanting to die herself, but she was still responsible for aiding in genocide. She was willing to accept being killed too. While I dislike her and think she should be killed, it's Rimuru who refused to do it

It was a great episode but I felt like that Eren scene was such a plot convience. Like outta nowhere she came and randomly informed Rimuru that he can actually revive the dead. Last time I checked how does she know that some of them died? She wasn't anywhere near the city.

Definitely some weak writing. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that the manga had more time pass before she suddenly appeared but it was super convenient. I actually was liking the scene before she showed up, since Rimuru was going to absorb everyone who died so he would literally be carrying the weight of his actions. Dude barely had any time to fully process the loss of close friends and people who relied on him to protect them before Eren showed up

Shion is a cool character so I was sad that she died and that is what makes a good story you actually feel emotions but the anime wants to have its cake and eat it too, like what's next is Shizu going to be revived?

Just feels cheap to go with the "Everyone can be revived" route, how am I supposed to take any future threats seriously if they make it so plainly clear they're gonna Deus ex Machina a happy ending, the tension leading up to the attack was really good too.

Fr they gonna pull a whole Dragon Ball route. In my opinion, Shion should've died for many reasons: Major character development for Rimuru, no asspulls, makes it realistic, we would know the dangers of future threats and that they could die anytime. Overall, the "Everyone can be revived" route is some pretty weak writing.

  There's nothing in this world that's a true threath to Rimuru, this anime is about an OP inmortal god character learning how to lead a nation, since the first episode you can already tell it's that type of anime. Also, you're forgetting about the most important fact, Rimuru is a monster not a human, hence he can't feel for his lost ones, nor develop himself around that.

Shizu can't be revived since she was absorbed by gluttony already.
Also, this reviving people thing might be a one time thing when he becomes a demon lord, like what happened in the fairy tale of the other demon lord.

Kinda cheapens this whole arc when like within 5mins of the two named character deaths revealed we already know they can (and doubtless will) just be bought back to life.

(also is it bad i didn't really feel anything for shion dying, she was kinda annoying and again it just moved on too quickly for any emotional impact)

I agree, I like Shion but her dying wasn't impactful since we couldn't see the sequece of the event.
