I remember Sorachi saying Gintoki was in his late twenties so I'm not too surprised by the reveal.
Oh yeah, in case anybody doesn't know, Yamazaki is 32 years old lmao.

Actually, I'm more surprised at the fact that Gintoki was only 17 years old during the Joui War. Now knowing that he was suffering at such a young age really hits hard..

I mean, I'm not surprised I expected him to be 25 so it's not a big shock.
What is a shock is the fact that it took so long to reveal the main character's age
