If Berserk got a proper adaptation, how would it fare? Would we consider it in the tier of Hunter x Hunter (2011) and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood? Higher? Lower?

Kentaro Miura is starting to show signs of early dementia, I'm afraid.
He might have become too old to continue writing manga.
It's been 20 volumes and we're still not seeing the end of Casca's decision.
At this point, it's a tied snail race between Berserk, HXH, and Vagabond...
The more time passes and the more I fear that Kentaro Miura will die before writing the end of Berserk ...
That's my concern, tbh. A good adaptation would have to edit around Miura's extreme lengths.
You can easily consider Berserk as one of the most important, well written, most influential, masterfully designed manga of all times. All the anime adaptation, even the '97 one that is the most faithful, are not comparable. Read it, you won't be disappointed. The only main problem is the slow release of the manga (1 chapter per year) so maybe at some point you'll just drop dead wanting to know what happens next, but even so it's still one of the best fantasy manga of all times

I feel like if it got a good anime that stays true to the source material and isn't blinding like Berserk 2016 it could be at the top for sure. I don't think it would ever be AS good as the manga because an anime can't replicate Miura's art but it would do very well. I may be a little biased though :P

It would be difficult to replicate his art but i think that yes, if they don't skip out on stuff, it will definetly top AoT/FMA/HxH.
Too bad they did the manga dirty with the 2016/2017 adaptation, although the old one is ok.
Dude if they were able to make an adaptation that properly captured Miura's art... I think it'd be almost unparalleled. I think it'd be like Monster and Berserk at number 1 and 2 and then fmab and what not. I enjoyed HxH a lot but I don't think it's in the same tier.
