I agree with you I am really curious how this story will flow later on but I really feel bad for haijima I'm intrigued to know his past can't wait to know what happens next
There doesn't seem to be a thread for this yet so I guess I'll make one
Anime spoilers ahead for the second episode of 2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team
I'm sad that they ended up losing but I guess it was the obvious outcome considering this was their first tournament and they only started practicing when Haijima arrived - still their team seemed a lot stronger compared to the other middle school teams thanks to Haijima being there. I'm guessing now we're going to skip to high school and Haijima and Kuroba will eventually reconcile and start preparing for the next tournament. Hopefully they'll get some more members too so Kuroba doesn't feel the pressure of being the only one who can do a decent hit over the net.

why would they place the big emotional point of this episode after the ED? wtf
the ep felt a tiny but rushed like the match itself and it feels slightly overbearing for the first two episodes like how haijima ends up injuring himself and how he drove his old team-mate to try to kill himself and stuff such as that, so i hope it ends up flowing a bit more but other than that, im curious as to how yuni and haijima's relationship will develop
seems like we're done with the "prequel" part of the show and we'll get going with the actual plot as soon as they join High School.
I see many people confused with the pacing and the fact that we're having matches on the second episode but I also see that many of those people missed the fact that at this point they're in Middle School.
Anyways, conflict has been set up now I'm curious to see how they'll tackle it
I think it's crazy that Haijima was able to take over the game like that in the first place, coming from a volleyball player. Being able to almost use your teammates like puppets is insanely hard, especially if they don't know the plane beforehand and one player isn't in it. But the way that Yuni was trying to find a way to get out of going to the game was really selfish, and it was inevitable that they would lose. Even if he was having a bad game then, it doesn't mean that he should've just not shown up at all.
at first i thought the pacing was a bit weird n fast but then i read Cativa's comment and realised that there's stuff post-ED so i watched that and i realised that they're in middle school... so this is basically a prequel... i'm really excited to see what happens in high school !
i think yuni is gonna try and work hard to improve on his own (or with some others?) and when high school comes around hes gonna try and apologise to haijima so they can play together again :(
it still baffles me that they did that
have stuff post-ED? tbh same, bc im the type of person that skips the ED and i kno tons of ppl who r the same...
Geez I'm glad I read this thread cause I skip endings too and I totally missed that last scene
Yuni is stupid
I FORGOT THEY’RE STILL IN MIDDLE SCHOOL EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE NOW
i can’t wait for next week :)
I thought first episode was pretty decent. This one was terribly rushed. Couldn't get invested in characters and don't see myself watching anymore. They just skipping over so much build up a better series would have.
remember that they're still in middle school - it's sorta like the prequel kinda bit atm
Show has only 12eps they can't waste much on middle school part
the pacing confused me for a second but just one episode was all it took for me to change my opinion on Yuni.
They were still in middle school, that's why pacing was a bit faster
