I don't understand it either... Haikyuu!! is my favorite anime of all time but this episode alone was better then 99% of every episode of Season 4 part 2 from Haikyuu!!....
Just got done watching the first episode and its really solid. I enjoyed the whole thing. All ive seen are positive reactions except for Haikyuu fans acting like Haikyuu created Volleyball and sports anime as a whole.

Hmm...I don't know about that. Maybe some, but it seems like the majority of the people that are excited about the show are Haikyuu fans themselves.
yep
Haven't seen it, but 70% doesn't sound like a lower end.
I mean you're right but for a show that only hes 1 episode and just came out, it kinda is.
70% is actually pretty high. Most shows I see that just started are barely above 60.
I completely agree. I'm a fan of Haikyuu!! and to be honest there were some similar aspects towards the two shows. However, I feel like 2.43 Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu has it's own complete style and- tbh- feels much more fluid then all of Haikyuu's fourth season.
I don't understand people that always want to compare animes. I know it's both volley anime but while Haikyuu! is really centred on Volleyball, sport as passion, as a teamwork, Seiin is more about a relationship (everything being around the sport of volleyball, but I see it more as a support).
Don't get me wrong, HQ is one of my favorite animes but both don't have the same way to use volley in their story.
Plus we are comparing 4 full seasons of an anime with only one episode of a bran new aime.
Anyways I'm sad that many HQ fans came for a war and not to support the newcomer...
70% mean score after one episode isn't low at all
70% is hardly bad, it's considered mediocre-good. Not bad after one episode
We haven't even gotten into the matches
it's always like this, if you look it's rare for new anime to get a good score just from the first ep, i am going to give an example, 'Tonikaku Kawaii' started ate the 60's with the first ep and now it's at 79
I just wanna know whether the sport is the main theme and they focus on it, or if they focus on drama and volley is just in the background. I'm sorry, I'm a spokkon baka, not a drama baka. That's why I ended up dropping Run With the Wind and Hoshiai no Sora.
It's so funny you said this = "Haikyuu fans acting like Haikyuu created Volleyball and sports anime as a whole." As I mentioned something similar to someone before the 2.43 Seiin came out cause they were asking how us people thought the anime would be like.
I said "For being a volleyball anime...it's either gonna make it or break it. As for Haikyuu being such a mainstream show fans would naturally gravitate towards 2.43 Seiin, either to say "Hey!! Another volleyball anime! Woohoo!!" Or..."Ugh, how dare they copy Haikyuu."
I'm a Haikyuu fan don't get me wrong...but I read the manga for 2.43 Seiin and it's actually pretty good. So to anyone who sees the ratings. Ignore them, you, yourself decided whether you like the anime and want to continue watching.
From my pov:
For eg. MC is like, "hell yeahh let's beat them" and then he just fucking leaves lmfaoooooo
But I am still interested in what's going to happen but that might take at leasr 5-6 eps probably and the season will be close to an end, I just gonna be so damn disappointed.
I am sticking around because I keep wondering why this studio hasn't taken over Haikyuu!! already.
Hahah, now I think about it, I constantly am thinking about Haikyuu while watching xD -- I am so evil
