  Probably should because people are always talking about it so it will open up a lot of things to talk about for you and I really enjoyed OG Naruto, Shippuden I liked less but its still not horrible

  yes, if long animes aren't your thing, you should give it some time
  but if you are into long shounen animes, it's definitely worth it

  Every episode that's left for you except for the last one is filler. (episodes 143-219 are all filler)
  FIller means that it wasn't in the manga and it doesn't actually continue the story.

  It's all up to you if you want to watch it

  There are websites out there that will let you know what is filler and what isn't, and what is filler but contains story relevant content.

  Just use such a site to skip everything marked filler and you'll finish it in half the time.

  You should finish it because you're mising out the good shit that happened plus the Naruto movies and Naruto Shippuden movies, but its best that u watch those in order

  Watch Naruto without the fillers. There are a lot of fillers which are just a waste of time.

  Tl;dr: Yes, you should. Might wanna skip the fillers from now on, though, as you're asking if you should continue or not.

  As you still haven't skipped the fillers at ep 180, you definitely won't hate the series. I watched the most including the fillers till the last ones at Shippuden and I enjoyed the story of Shippuden far more than the OG even tho the Chunin exams arc is legendary. In retrospect, some of the filler arcs felt very disconnected from the main plot.

  Specifying roughly where in the story these are, not events prior or after: (the most of OG and some, especially the last ones of Shippuden. Shippuden has more than them but I didn't even know some of them were filler )

  To me Naruto is still one of the better "true battle shonens" right after HxH. I'd even argue Naruto has some of the more memorable characters than HxH. Haven't seen most of the other classics, tho.

  Naruto without the fillers is a lot of fun
  Good story, fun and smart fights, good usage of supporting characters, and even some emotional moments

  Shippuden is similar but throws the whole "good story and supporting characters" out the fucking window towards the end
