Deadman Wonderland, Future Diary, Gakkou Gurashi, Death Note, Monster, Psycho Pass, Terror in Resonance and Higurashi. I believe some of these were listed in the other persons recommendations, but i thought i'd chuck them in anyway.

I heard the video game, at least, could be described as a mixture of Zero Escape, Ace Attorney and a hint of Persona. Stay tuned for the Ace Attorney/Gyakuten Saiban anime airing coming season!

It's not an anime, but you can try this VN:

Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors

Just need and emulator for DS, it's the same theme as danganronpa, but a lot better.

I'm looking for some (preferably good and not trainwreck) series like Danganronpa (while I'm a fan of the games more than the anime adaption, what I'm going for here is an anime that has a similar plot or feel, killing game series, etc). Any recommendations are welcome.

Mirai Nikki,Darwin's game. Shiki is like detective horror in small town secrets and that stuff really good. You probably watched mirai nikki and darwin's game is nothing special (3 episodes actually) so you can watch Shiki

hey man good job on recommending absolutely piss shit anime to this guy. did ass class not cross your mind when you wrote this? unlike the other guy, you’ve seen it and it seems like you enjoyed it too (gave s1 an 8/10 and s2 9/10 - respectable ratings btw). just wondering why you chose to troll this guy instead of recommending actually good anime?

Start it blind if possible. At first its confusing why it gives seemingly unrelated scenarios every few episodes but it was so fun trying to piece togather the mystery from the different scenarios.
Other series are only extras if you want to see the characters more. Don't bother with gou/sotsu

if you want to recommend assassination classroom then you could have just said that??

i mean my thought process was to recommend animes somewhat similar to danganronpa, not necessarily animes that i absolutely adore, not saying i hate them but not my go-tos

id argue that the animes i reccommended have bits and pieces similar to danganronpa, even the "bad" ones (high rise) but even then, there are still similarities and if op doesnt like it they could just not watch it

hmmm, I think there is a distinction between Danganronpa and Assassination Classroom. Don't get me wrong, I love Assassination classroom, and the similarities of having a somewhat likeable cast of many teenage characters with a lasting ending (and has a similar artstyle). I would probably be fine with recommending this, too, but this wasn't where my head would first go either when recommending series similar to Danganronpa. This is because Assassination Classroom does not really have a mystery. The mystery is solved when the teacher comes onto the scene. The series feels more like a found family + slice of life where the students are sometimes forced into difficult positions they have to overcome. Though, I guess now that I think of it, if they liked Erased, they probably would also like this and hundreds more potential recommendations.
