I actually just binged the entire series for the past few weeks, up to the currently airing episodes. For me personally, I feel like the series gets better each season. The first season was really good, the second was great, and this third season has surpassed all of my expectations. It does lean heavier onto the drama side in the second and third seasons. If you found the story or characters at least moderately entertaining, then you should enjoy this switch-up. But if the first season's comedic elements were the only thing keeping you entertained, then you might not enjoy it as much.
I'm not really one who can say if you need rewatch it or not, since I binged the series. I'd say that you might need to rewatch the first season, especially if you don't remember the characters very well. At the very least, you should rewatch Episode 12.
So yes, I would recommend picking it up again. Hope this helps :)

That so, huh? Hmm i guess i find the characters the highlight of the anime. I didnt know of any comedic elements that i remember asides from usage of "Yahallo~" if that even counts as funny haha (its cute tho)
I do remember it leans to some heavy stuff which im not really too fond of at times.

Yeah, there was a lot of subtle comedy in the first season. Like Yukino and Hachiman smartly making fun of each other, for instance. And yeah, it goes into some more serious stuff in the following two seasons.
