The episode was a great conclusion of what was happening in the last 2 seasons up to now. The relationship between the three of them would finally have a direction after this but 8man, Yukino, and Yui needs to figure everything out in order to properly end it and find something genuine.
My fave scene of the episode was Hachiman and Yukino's talk in the clubroom. They discussed who was the winner in the challenge set by HIratsuka; after some discord, they conclude that Yukino won. The reason why this scene is so powerful is that Yukino acknowledges that she relied on Hachiman all too much the past year they have been in the club. Yukino finally acknowledges that it was okay to rely on other people, for them to help; she tolf Hachiman "You saved me." That was powerful.
Overall I enjoyed the series in all form of media that is has. I followed the anime back 2013 when it was airing. The first episode I declared for myself that Yukinoshita Yukino is best girl and now 7 years later , after reading the manga & LNs and watching the anime; I truly love this series as it is wholesome AF. The series really hits home as it is relatable for me and others going through the sad phase of life;it just so happens that I watched this when i started high school and now I'm getting into college in time for the last season, it feels so surreal yet so real at the same time. I can say this anime saved me from my dark head space back then and I'm thankful for it.
As I have said, I read the LN in its entirety and I know what the ending is. I just wish they give this series the ending it deserves and people shouldn't sleep on this series because it is one of the best or the best drama, school, romance anime out there.
The wait was worth it as we can see our beloved characters reach their true end.
